BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A routine traffic stop in Louisiana led to the arrest of a Texas man wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in Pennsylvania.
A West Baton Rouge Parish deputy stopped a commercial box truck traveling westbound on I-10 around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday for traffic violations. The sheriff’s office reported the driver’s identity as Ameer Nassar, 25, of Houston, Texas, who was wanted by Pennsylvania State Police in connection with a Bethel Township hit-and-run crash killing a 33-year-old man on April 10.
