A Houston-area nonprofit that has helped thousands of families during the Christmas season for more than four decades says it is shutting down its annual gift program after losing support from the city’s police department.
Operation Blue Santa announced it will end its holiday efforts after being informed by the Houston Police Department that officers can no longer legally provide resources to support the program.
