Another familiar voice has signed off on Houston radio. 93Q Country is searching for a new midday host after Gerardo Sproet exited the role, with news of his departure announced over the weekend.
A Houston native, Sproet spent his entire radio career with KKBQ. He joined the station’s promotions department in 2019, moved on-air in 2022 and was promoted to evening host in July 2023. In January 2025, he shifted to middays, taking over a slot that had gone without a permanent host since Corey Dillon left in October 2024 after three and a half years.
Now, the station is already looking for his replacement. In a newly posted job listing, 93Q says it wants a host who “will be fun, compelling, talented, professional and understand how to create great radio in a PPM-friendly environment.”…
