Prominent UTHealth Houston surgeon’s $14M Memorial mansion heads to international auction

One of the most expensive homes to hit the market in Texas earlier this year — a Houston mansion owned by a prominent local surgeon — is headed to auction next month.

Listed for $14 million, 603 W. Friar Tuck Lane was among the priciest new listings in Texas in January, according to the Houston Association of Realtors.

The close-in Memorial estate is owned by Richard J. Andrassy, professor and chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School.
