Historic Museum District home built for Texaco heiress tops Houston’s priciest home sales in March

A historic Museum District home linked to a legendary Houston oil family topped the city’s priciest homes sold in March.

Designed by acclaimed Houston architect John F. Staub, the estate at 3 Remington Lane was originally built in 1939 for Margaret Cullinan Wray, daughter of the founder of Texaco, Joseph S. Cullinan. The oil titan also developed Shadyside, an exclusive Houston enclave where Cullinan Wray’s home is located.
