A Texas couple has been sentenced to prison years after their six-week-old twins were found dead in a home littered with evidence of long-term physical abuse and neglect.
The case began on the morning of October 4, 2023, when officers arrived at a residence on the 2100 block of Linden Creek Lane in Houston. Dispatchers had attempted to provide CPR instructions over the phone, but when police entered the home at 11:17 a.m., they found Massail and Mirena Vega unresponsive. Both infants were pronounced dead at the scene.
