New poll finds broad opposition to ICE, police cooperation in the Houston area.

Most Houstonians disapprove of Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s aggressive tactics and oppose local cooperation with the federal agency, according to a new survey from the University of Houston.

Roughly 70% of residents in the greater Houston area said they disapproved of how ICE is doing its job, according to the survey.

Nearly two-thirds of residents said they don’t want their county sheriff to work with ICE, and roughly 59% were opposed to their local police department cooperating with the agency as well…
