Houston man charged in connection with fatal shooting investigation

HOUSTON, Texas — A 31-year-old man has been charged with tampering with evidence in the investigation of a fatal shooting on Radio Road, according to Houston police.

Khiyea Kawaun Sanders, of Houston, is facing charges in the 185th Criminal District Court following the deaths of Darrell Hall, 24, and India Thomas, 27. The victims were found on February 28, with Hall discovered in the middle of the roadway and Thomas in a ditch nearby, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced them deceased at the scene.

The Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division, led by Sergeant M. Arrington and Detectives M. Castillo and M. Cater, identified Sanders as a suspect. He was arrested on May 5 by the HPD Southeast Patrol Division’s Crime Suppression Team and subsequently charged…
