Catalytic converter theft suspect caught after wild chase by car, scooter and swim through Houston bayou

HOUSTON – A suspected catalytic converter thief is in custody after what Houston police described as a chaotic pursuit involving a vehicle chase, an electric scooter, a foot chase and even a swim through Little White Oak Bayou.

According to Houston Police Department, officers from multiple different branches of the department worked together to track down the suspect Thursday.

Downtown, Central, Patrol Support, K9 and Fox have a catalytic converter/ evading suspect in custody. Suspect fled in a vehicle, on an electric scooter, ran on foot and swam in Little White Oak Bayou. Team work resulted in suspects apprehension. 202 pic.twitter.com/mP6A77Z3JO
