15-Year-Old Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Teen in North Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. — A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another 15-year-old in North Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The shooting occurred on May 28 at approximately 12:32 p.m. near Cedar Avenue and Plymouth Street. Officers responding to reports of a shooting found a teenage male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by Long Beach Fire Department personnel to a local hospital, where he later died.

The suspect fled before officers arrived, launching an intensive investigation involving homicide detectives, SWAT personnel, patrol officers, and specialized investigative units.
