Waterfront Classic The Reef Makes Splashy Comeback On Long Beach Harbor

After years of mostly playing host to weddings and banquets, The Reef is officially back in the everyday dining game on Long Beach Harbor, reopening today with a revamped menu, all-day service and a fresh push to lure both special-event crowds and casual summer walk-ins.

Visit Details and Hours

The Belmont Shore-adjacent spot is now welcoming regular diners Thursday through Sunday and is taking reservations through its website. OpenTable lists current hours as 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on those days, along with up-to-date reservation availability. According to The Reef, the restaurant is also keeping its special-events office open for private bookings, so weddings and big parties are still very much part of the picture.

Menu Highlights

The new lineup leans hard into surf and turf. Management previewed a teriyaki-glazed wagyu top sirloin paired with cilantro-lime rice, charred broccolini and grilled pineapple salsa; a lump crab and shrimp cake with grilled sweet corn and chipotle aioli; and a pineapple shrimp fried rice served in a halved pineapple for maximum harbor-front drama.

The bar program is rolling out signature cocktails with vacation-ready names like “Beach Please” and “Paid Vacation,” plus a nonalcoholic Belmont Breezin’ for those keeping it zero-proof. Weekend brunch ups the weekend factor with bottomless mimosas or unlimited rosé for $25 per person, and the restaurant plans to offer complimentary parking on non-amphitheater show dates, as reported by the Long Beach Press‑Telegram.
