LA Woman Charged with Felony Wage Theft, Tax Fraud at Diamond Bar Care Facility

Prosecutors allege Nora Corrales stole more than $121,000 in wages and failed to pay employment taxes while operating an unlicensed residential care facility.

A 59-year-old Hacienda Heights woman has been charged with six felony counts alleging she stole more than $121,000 in wages from employees at an unlicensed residential care facility in Diamond Bar and failed to pay required employment taxes, prosecutors said.

Nora Elia Corrales, who owned the property and allegedly oversaw the facility’s day-to-day operations, is charged with four felony counts of wage theft and two felony counts of tax fraud, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office…
