The Aquarium of the Pacific will host its 25th annual Baja Splash Cultural Festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in a two-day event from Saturday to Sunday, Sept. 26-27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The celebration features 16 groups and musicians representing cultures from Mexico, Central and South America. The event will also offer bilingual educational programming in Spanish and English, as well as an educational game with prizes.
The aquarium also has plans for new events this year. Chelsea Quezada, public relations manager for the Aquarium of the Pacific, said, “This year, guests will be able to experience Garifuna storytelling and drumming by Garifuna American Heritage Foundation United at our outdoor Marine Life Theater. Performing for the first time this year is Alturas, who will be playing live music from Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.”…
