A man is dead after he was hit by a car while crossing the street in Long Beach Tuesday.
The man was walking in a marked crosswalk near the intersection of Anaheim Street and Junipero Avenue at 5:38 a.m. when he was struck by a 2010 Toyota Prius, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Paramedics with the Long Beach Fire Department responded and gave the man emergency medical care. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Toyota Prius remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. Speeding, distracted driving and DUI are not suspected in the crash…
