California Suspect, 18, Allegedly Fatally Stabbed Another Teen in the Groin

An 18-year-old from California has been arrested for murder after he allegedly stabbed a fellow teen to death.

Joshua Guadalupe Garcia, of Santa Ana, was arrested by Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies on Saturday, according to a news release from authorities.

Deputies allegedly found a knife while arresting Garcia, but say that “further forensic investigations are required to determine if it was the weapon used in the homicide.”

Earlier in the day, just past midnight, deputies were dispatched to a neighborhood just north of San Clemente State Beach on reports of a stabbing. Deputies were able to immediately locate a male victim and began lifesaving measures, but the man died sometime after he was rapidly transported to the hospital.

The man had suffered a stab wound to his groin, police say. The relationship between Garcia and the male victim, along with any motive for the attack, remains under investigation according to the sheriff’s department.
