Shooting in Anaheim 2021: A Man Gets 54-Year Prison

A convicted felon gets 54 years to life in prison for shooting in Anaheim. According to the Orange County Register, shooting in Anaheim a 53-year-old Tyrone Portis was killed by 54-year-old Glen Ralph Johnson in a first-degree murder case that was being heard in an Orange County courtroom. The court did not believe the defense’s claims of self-defense or that Johnson’s actions were caused by being abused as a child. Judge Richard King gave Johnson a 54-year to life jail sentence. Johnson was given a harsher sentence because he discharged a gun that killed someone. This showed how serious the crime was and how often he disregarded the law.
