In a significant breakthrough for law enforcement, the Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) Street Racing Task Force, in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and the California Highway Patrol (CHP), has arrested a man believed to be one of the largest street takeover organizers in Southern California, according to investigators.

The arrest took place during the early hours of February 7, 2024, as the Street Racing Task Force executed a residential search warrant in the City of Paramount, aided by LASD Paramount Station officers.

The operation resulted in the apprehension of a suspect identified as Erick Romero Quintana, a 20-year-old resident of Paramount, police said. Quintana, who boasts over 70,000 social media followers, allegedly organized events that led to large-scale street takeovers, smash-and-grab robberies, vehicle thefts, and even violent crimes, including murder, police said.

This arrest is considered a significant milestone not only for the LAPD but for the entire Southern California region.
