Following a high-speed police pursuit that took the Los Angeles Police Department from downtown LA to the City of Industry, one individual is arrested. There could be a second suspect still at large.
Before 4:30 p.m., reports of the chase began to arrive. The driver was wanted by the LAPD for allegedly stealing a vehicle. The region southwest of Adams Boulevard was where the chase was picked up. Officers in pursuit pursued the vehicle as it proceeded east on the 110 Freeway. The LAPD switched to tracking mode soon after that.
After some time, the motorist headed westward on the 60 Freeway, occasionally swerving to avoid oncoming traffic. After that, the motorist ultimately turned eastward and began traveling at times as fast as 100 mph.
The motorist then made his way inside the City of Industry.
After exiting the expressway, the motorist pulled beneath an overpass. Subsequently, the driver and a passenger departed and took off running. The pair seemed to be entering a company through an open rear door after they were observed racing behind a retail center. Subsequently, officers were observed positioned in front of a Home Depot.
