Two gang members have been sentenced for their roles in a violent robbery that severely injured an elderly couple at a Thousand Oaks mall earlier this year. Corey Thomas of Los Angeles and Jonathan Requejo of Inglewood, both 18, were each handed two-year sentences in state prison, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced, according to KTLA. The duo, documented Crips gang members, pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges, including second-degree robbery and elder abuse.
