Officers recovered a stolen handgun during an arrest in Long Beach, authorities said Thursday.
Officers were dispatched about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday to the 2300 block of Locust Avenue regarding someone making threats, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

“Officers contacted a male adult suspect, later determined to be a prohibited possessor, and found him to be in possession of a loaded firearm,” according to a police statement. “The firearm was later determined to be stolen. He was arrested and taken to Long Beach City Jail for booking.”
The investigation was ongoing.
