DOWNEY (CNS) – Police sought the public’s assistance Thursday in locating two men suspected of an armed robbery and kidnapping at a jewelry store in Downey.
Officers responded to the 7600 block of Firestone Boulevard, about seven-tenths of a mile west of Paramount Boulevard, to reports of a business robbery around 10:15 a.m. Saturday, where two men believed to be of Central or South American descent asked a representative to view merchandise moments before allegedly tackling and gagging the associate, according to the Downey Police Department.
Police said one of the men then forced the victim at gunpoint into a back stockroom, holding the victim down while the other suspect began ransacking the business, taking approximately $100,000 worth of gold jewelry and watches…
