Walgreens to Close Southern California Stores by March; Dozens of Workers Impacted

Walgreens is set to close five stores across Southern California by late March, citing mounting “regulatory and reimbursement pressures.” The affected locations include Whittier, downtown Los Angeles, Orange, Placentia, and Stanton, according to local reports.

The company explained that these pressures have made it difficult to cover operational costs, including rent, staffing, and supplies. Approximately 93 employees could be impacted by the closures, according to reports.
