Martin Luther King parade in LA erupts into chaos as group hurl barricades through street in mass brawl

A Martin Luther King parade descended into chaos in Los Angeles as a group launch barricades through street in a mass brawl.

Footage of the brawl captures a group of males in an Los Angeles street clash before plastic barricades are ripped from their fittings and hurled through the air. Police officers can be seen on the outskirts of the brawl attempting to diffuse the violence as a number of individuals throw punches at one another.

Reports circulating online suggested the fight may have been gang related – however this has not been confirmed. The parade took place after it was delayed from its January date due to wildfires that burned across LA.

The parade is held each year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and known by organizers as the “world’s largest and longest-running life celebrations of Dr. Martin Luther King.” – according to CBS news.
