Walmart and Aldi could be forced to change policy after self-checkout bill put forward – refusal could see $2,500 fines

MAJOR retailers like Walmart and Aldi could soon be forced to change its self-checkout policies, after a bill proposed massive fines on stores refusing to get in line with new changes.

The penalty could fundamentally change your shopping experience going forward – as lawmakers search for a “deterrent” against theft.

The radical change was brought forward by Long Beach City Council on Tuesday by Councilmembers Tunua Thrash-Ntuk, Mary Zendejas and Roberto Uranga.
