Last month, five women who call themselves the Grandma Brigade protested in front of a Tesla showroom. It didn’t take long for Denny Freidenrich, an experienced community organizer and former corporate marketing executive, to notice.
“A friend in Spokane, Washington, told me about ‘Raging Grannies’ several years ago. Little did I know an offshoot group would end up protesting in Costa Mesa,” Freidenrich, 76, reported.
“That’s when I reached out to three of my senior friends in Laguna and launched the Grandpa Brigade,” he said.
