A new permanent supportive housing community in Santa Ana is offering long-term stability to some of Orange County’s most vulnerable residents, including survivors of domestic violence.
WISEPlace on Broadway, developed by the nonprofit WISEPlace in partnership with Jamboree Housing Corporation, officially opened its doors this week with a ribbon cutting ceremony held Wednesday.
The 48-unit development includes 47 furnished studio apartments with private bathrooms and kitchenettes for extremely low-income individuals, plus one unit for an on-site manager.
Santa Ana has also issued 25 vouchers to subsidize rent at the new complex. Of those, 15 are reserved for domestic violence survivors. Officials say it’s the first supportive housing site in Orange County with that type of designation…
