LA’s free recycled water station is back

You can once again pick up recycled water in Los Angeles for free. The LADWP’s refill station at the Los Angeles-Glendale Water Reclamation Plant is the only location back open for the year.

How does recycled water help? It’s a way you can conserve water during the drought. Instead of using your home’s water supply on your lawn or garden, you can safely replace it with recycled water, which is treated and disinfected wastewater.

How does the program work? Only LADWP customers are eligible. You must bring one of your bills from the utility and a government issued ID. You’ll complete a short training at the site once and can then get up to 300 gallons per visit, using your own water-tight lid containers. You can find container suggestions here…
