Long Beach witnessed a surge of violence last night with two stabbings and a shooting incident. The first incident occurred on Orange Avenue early in the morning around 5:25 a.m. when officers responded to a call about a stabbing. Two women were involved in a confrontation with a man and woman, which escalated to the point where one of the women was stabbed. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital, as reported by the Long Beach Police Department. The suspects had fled the scene before the police arrived, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Last Saturday night, on Alamitos Avenue, a man sitting in his car narrowly escaped harm when two assailants opened fire on his vehicle. Remarkably, although the car was hit, the victim walked away without any injuries. The motive and information on the suspects of this ‘no-hit shooting’ remain under investigation by the LBPD.
Earlier in the evening on the same day, another stabbing took place on Neece Street. A verbal dispute between two men turned violent, resulting in one being stabbed.
