Long Beach was rattled by a series of violent incidents as reported by the Long Beach Police Department, involving a stabbing and two shootings within the span of just a few hours. Late Sunday evening, the LBPD was called to Cherry Avenue following a violent altercation that concluded with a stabbing; 18-year-old Devan Soben Titus Leang, a local resident, was later taken into custody for this attack, as reported in a statement by the LBPD.
The first of the shootings, where fortunately no one was hit, erupted in the California Avenue area, where investigators found evidence of firearm discharge, but the reasons behind the gunfire remain unclear, prolonging the mystery while the authorities continue their search for answers, and the suspected shooter remains at large.
