Mastro’s Ocean Club in Newport Beach is set to undergo a renovation project this year. Records show construction work planned for the acclaimed steakhouse perched on the scenic Crystal Cove coastline, located at 8112 East Coast Hwy.
Plans were submitted to the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Environmental Health Division in November, but both those and the subsequent resubmission have been flagged as “unable to approve”. The county is currently waiting on a second round of revisions.
President and COO Mark Levy confirmed to What Now OC that the company has plans to update the space after renewing the lease. Changes will be made to the interior and a patio enclosure will be added.
