Anaheim woman decapitated boyfriend before fleeing to Mexico, prosecutors say

A woman accused of fleeing to Mexico after the gruesome murder of her boyfriend has been arrested and returned to Orange County to face charges.

Prosecutors say 23-year-old Alyssa Marie Lira killed her 55-year-old boyfriend. Enrique Gonzalez-Carbajal was found decapitated inside Lira’s Anaheim home back in August.

An Anaheim community is on edge after a man was found dead inside a home, triggering a homicide investigation.
