Southern California man could get life in prison after conviction in couple’s fentanyl OD deaths

A Long Beach man faces a possible sentence of life in prison after he was convicted Friday of selling cocaine laced with fentanyl that killed an engaged couple in 2023.

Stephen Johnson, who is also known as “Stephen Jo,” was convicted on two counts each of distribution of fentanyl resulting in death and distribution of cocaine, the United States Department of Justice said in a news release…
