I-5 improvement project begins near I-405 and SR-55
The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) and Caltrans are starting work to improve the I-5 between the I-405 and SR-55. The project aims to reduce congestion, improve safety, and make travel easier for more than 275,000 drivers who use this route each day.
Construction is expected to begin as early as the week of Feb. 16, weather permitting. There will be regular nighttime lane closures, though at least one lane will stay open unless otherwise noted.
