Severe thunderstorm warning for Orange County
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Orange County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County in southern California. The warning is in effect until 2:30 AM PST on February 18. At 1:24 AM PST, a band of severe thunderstorms was near the Los Angeles–Orange County line, moving slowly southeast through northern Orange County and the northwest Inland Empire.
Winds may reach 60 mph, with possible damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Areas affected include Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Fullerton, Tustin, and Yorba Linda. Residents are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor for safety until the storm passes…
