Pre-Dawn 405 Crash Hurls Westminster Rider Into Wall, Proves Fatal

Early Saturday on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Westminster, a solo motorcycle crash turned deadly just before dawn at the Springdale Street interchange, authorities said. The impact sent the rider into the freeway’s right shoulder wall, and the motorcyclist was killed at the scene. Witnesses told responders the bike had been moving at a high rate of speed shortly before the crash. As of the initial reports, investigators had not released the rider’s name or any other identifying details.
