California man sentenced to 6 years for trafficking fentanyl, cocaine to CT motorcycle club

BRIDGEPORT – A California man has been sentenced to six years in prison for trafficking narcotics to Connecticut, officials say.

In a release, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Sullivan said Jonathan Garcia, a 37-year-old from Long Beach who is also known as “Gordo,” was sentenced in federal court in Bridgeport on Tuesday to 78 months of imprisonment and four years of supervised release.

Sullivan said the DEA’s Hartford Task Force began investigating a large-scale drug trafficking organization in 2022 that was distributing kilogram quantities of fentanyl and cocaine in Connecticut.
