A 20-year-old man who was gunned down in a shooting that wounded two others inside a parking structure near the grand opening of a Marathon Burgers in Long Beach was identified by county authorities Thursday.
According to Long Beach police, officers responded to reports of shots fired about 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Pine Avenue, near the spot where a large group of people had gathered for the opening of the eatery — part of a fast-food chain founded by the late rapper Nipsey Hussle and his family. The restaurant was built in partnership with rapper Snoop Dogg, who was in attendance at the event.
