On Feb. 27, 2026, officers responded to a hospital after a sexual assault was reported in the 2100 block of Newport Blvd. The suspect, a rideshare driver, told an intoxicated passenger he would take her home but instead drove her to another location and assaulted her. He later dropped her off at a third site.
Detectives identified the suspect as Felipe Rico-Ceballos, 43, of Ontario, and arrested him on March 5, 2026, on multiple counts of sexual assault and kidnapping. Police believe there may be more victims due to his work as a rideshare driver. Anyone with information or who believes they may be a victim should contact Detective E.
