LONG BEACH, Calif. — A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a bicyclist on the San Gabriel River Trail Friday evening, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The crash occurred around 8:12 p.m. on March 20, 2026, along the San Gabriel River Trail just south of the 405 Freeway. Officers responded to reports of an injury collision involving a motorcycle and a bicycle.
When authorities arrived, both a male adult motorcyclist and a male adult bicyclist were receiving medical aid from bystanders. Personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department transported both individuals to a local hospital in critical condition. The motorcyclist later died from his injuries.
Preliminary findings indicate the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on the trail when he collided head-on with a bicyclist heading in the opposite direction. Both were ejected upon impact and sustained severe injuries…
