As a fan of Roy’s garden-fresh cuisine, I was sad to learn that her 608 Dahlia—nestled in a pretty corner of Sherman Library and Gardens—was closing. But I was thrilled to hear that she’s setting up her next kitchen less than 10 minutes from my home. It’s in Sunset Beach, on a corner spot rich in history, where Harpoon Harry’s once stood.
“The restaurant will be called 608 Sunset Beach,” she says. “The name connects where I started from in Corona del Mar with where I am now. … It represents this beautiful coastal community that we are so excited to be part of.”
