Huntsville city attorneys respond to 708 Bar & Grille, reiterate request for permanent closure

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Attorneys for the City of Huntsville want a judge to shut down 708 Bar & Grille permanently without a trial.

Huntsville City Attorney Trey Riley filed a reply brief on Friday, reiterating the city’s request for the court to grant summary judgment and obtain a permanent injunction against 708 Bar & Grille, alleging that it’s a public nuisance.

It said that, while being a public nuisance, 708 also violated the City Code. The document said that the defendants, including 708’s owner Malcolm Gopher, did not “validly dispute” the effect the bar has on the area…
