MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed by the family of Enrique Chub Cao, a man killed in a trench collapse at a Martin Road construction site in December.
The lawsuit, filed against Southern Trust Capital LLC and several other fictitious defendants, including Chub-Cao’s employer and supervisor, alleges he was allowed to work outside a trench box, a safety measure meant to prevent cave-ins.
