Huntsville school hailed for ‘Inditech’ program amid US skilled trades shortage

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A Huntsville career and technology school is drawing national attention as Fortune magazine examines the growing skilled trades shortage gripping the U.S. economy.

The Huntsville Center for Technology, a $40 million facility where roughly 700 students leave their traditional high schools for part of the day to receive industry-standard training, was featured Sunday in a lengthy Fortune report examining how schools and companies are responding to a looming workforce crisis.
