Decatur, Ala. (WHNT) — Decatur Police Department leaders are sharing updates on the city’s violent and property crime rates, which decreased in 2026 compared to this time last year.
Police say that the downward trend reflects the progress that the department has made under the new administration. The department said that this comes from a change in perspective.
