HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Attorneys representing the family of John Scott Jr. last week submitted a newly overhauled, 31-page Second Amended Complaint in federal court, meeting a final deadline set by the judge to bring a civil rights lawsuit into compliance with his orders.
The high-profile $100 million case stems from the April 15, 2025, death of Scott, a 39-year-old father of five who suffered a fatal medical and mental health crisis while in the custody of law enforcement and jail personnel.
