ATHENS, Ala. (WAFF) – A scary moment unfolded on the Square in Athens Friday afternoon when a driver accidentally drove into Dottie Jewel.
City officials say Athens Police were immediately contacted, and first responders, nearby merchants, and other good Samaritans quickly stepped in to help. Someone stayed with the driver to offer comfort and prayer as responders and city officials checked on the driver and assessed the building.
The driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be checked out. Officials say no one inside the store was injured…
