HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The City of Huntsville officially opened the new John Hunt Park Recreation Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mayor Tommy Battle, marking another major addition to the city’s largest park.
Located at 3035 Leeman Ferry Road, the 60,850-square-foot facility sits on 8 1/2 acres within John Hunt Park and offers space for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, along with a fitness room, multi-purpose rooms, office space, and concessions.
“John Hunt Park is a valuable recreation asset to the Huntsville community,” said Mayor Battle. “Opening the John Hunt Park Recreation Center reinforces our commitment to providing accessible quality of life resources for Huntsville residents.”
