Home sales increased slightly in north Alabama during the month of May, but that was not entirely the case in the Huntsville market compared to a year ago.
But at least one area realtor expects that to change in the coming weeks.
“One of the most encouraging signs in this month’s report is that pending sales surged more than 23% year-over-year,” realtor Matt Curtis told AL.com. “Pending sales are one of the best indicators of where the market is headed, and if this trend continues—as I believe it will—we’re likely entering a new phase of the market after several years of lower transaction volume and relatively flat price growth. “…
