Huntsville Hospital initative supporting 11 nonprofits with $600K in funding

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Several nonprofits working to improve health across the Tennessee Valley are receiving support from Huntsville Hospital’s 2026-2027 Community Health Initiative (CHI).

Huntsville Hospital said that through CHI, it partners with and invests in local organizations “working to improve health outcomes, remove barriers to care and address community needs before they become medical emergencies.”

The hospital said that the 11 organizations partnering with it for the 2026-2027 Jean Wessel Templeton Community Health Initiative, which will be awarded some of the $600,000, include:

  • Boys and Girls Club
  • Clinica Medica Moscati
  • The Community Free Clinic
  • The Community Free Dental Clinic
  • Enrichment Center
  • HEALS
  • Kids to Love
  • New Hope Children’s Clinic
  • Parkinson’s Dynamics
  • Partnership for a Drug-Free Community
  • ShowerUp

Those partners were announced and recognized during a presentation on Tuesday.
