HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Huntsville police conducted holiday enforcement checkpoints over the Fourth of July weekend, arresting 11 drivers for DUI, up from eight arrests during the same period in 2025.
Checkpoint details
Safety checkpoint locations remained the same as last year. Enforcement ran from late Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
Officers made seven arrests in total during that window. Six of those arrests came within the first two hours.
